Getting Them in the Door
In the old days, people who sold pianos would put a piano near the door of the shop and played fancy tunes to attract customers. This worked best at busy shopping malls. Mostly, the piano sales people were unemployed or marginally employed musicians. They usually played with a band at night, hoping to make it big, but never making big bucks. They needed a day job to pay the bills. They often taught piano lessons too. These days, people learn to play the piano with easy, online lessons! They don’t need a low rent piano sales person to show them how to not make money.
