Learning how to speak Spanish sooner rather than later could potentially help you in your career also. If your part of the world is anything like mine, the job market is increasing tough. If you want a leg up, learn Spanish. In my area the employment market is turning from the manufacturing sector to the service sector. Rocket Spanish Children in other countries are required to learn an additional language during their studies. What makes our situation a bit more difficult is that most adults in our country only speak one language and learning a new language as an adult is more difficult that when you are a child.
