Famous Pianists in History
Let’s go back in time to the 1600s to 1800s for some curious facts about their most famous pianists. Some of them were Frank Liszt, Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig van Beethoven. Bach composed music that was never intended for the piano. Mozart was a child prodigy at age 5 and was one of the most famous pianists and composers of his time. Beethoven one of the most celebrated pianists in history was actually deaf. Liszt was a “workaholic pianist” who practiced his craft for up to 14 hours a day and created more than 1300 compositions. Modern times have produced their counterparts in Duke Ellington, Ray Charles, Jerry Lee Lewis, Stevie Wonder and Billy Joel. If you teach piano to children, one of your students could someday be as famous as they were. Time will tell.
