Signs of Autism – Behavioral Skills
There are some behavioral skills that could show concerns as signs of autism. The autistic child tends to do repetitive behaviors, like line up blocks over and over again, each block in the same order. They have poor muscle tone so may appear clumsy or awkward with their hands and feet. Many walk on their toes. Some children do self injury like biting, or hitting their head on something over and over again. They are usually unable to tolerate environmental changes, like if someone moves out of the home, or if the furniture in their room is moved. Some things are subtle signs, some are very major signs. Check with your doctor right away.
