Why acai berry?

There seems to be so much emphasis on superfoods these days.  Some of the superfoods noted by Dr. Perricone are acai, blueberries, barley, beans and lentils, hot peppers, nuts and seeds, sprouts, buckwheat, green foods, yogurt and foods from the allium family (garlic, onions, chives, leeks, shallots and scallions). The acai berry is one of the most popular because of it’s extreme health benefits.  It is known to detoxify and has about 10-30 times the amount of antioxidants of red wine.  Antioxidants can help fight premature aging and can boost one’s immune system.  An acai berry diet can help you feel great and lose weight.
