100 Dollar iPhone unlikely
According to the latest post of the walmart ad, it looks like the iphone 3g is indeed coming to Walmart but they won’t be selling it for 100 dollars. SOme people had hoped that the iphone would be marked at 100 dollars and at lower functionality but Apple has no plans for that. According to iPhone News, the iPhone 3G will go on sale in Walmart stores for the price of 197 dollars and will not be any cheaper than that. Sorry guys but there won’t be a cheap iphone nor a more toned down and smaller version of the phone.
