LaCie d2 External Blu-Ray Disc Burner

This is one of the external disc burners from LaCie. It supports both PC and MAC. The Disc Burner reads and writes a blu-ray disc at 2X speed and blu-ray rewritable disc at 2X speed. It is backward compatible and supports DVD, DVD-R, CD, dual layer discs etc. The speed vary from 32X for reading CDs and 24X for writing, 8X for regular DVDs and 4X for DVD rewritable. LaCie external blu-ray burner can be connected through high speed USB or firewire. The burner performs decently, but the major drawback is the price- it is very expensive. It is supported on both PC and MAC.
